Exmoor Lockdown Diary 32 - Sunday Cooking

Slow roast Exmoor lamb, coked over beechwood

A very short lockdown diary - just wrote an entire script about pickling garlic tips here and stupidly lost the entire lot. Unfortunately the ‘undo” button doesn’t work while building this site on Chrome.

So there you go. A lazy Sunday spent cooking and pickling. Now to consume the results while there is still a bit of evening sunshine to sit out in.

The pickled flower buds go particularly well with roast Exmoor lamb - in a salsa made with mint and other herbs. And they also go wonderfully with hot smoked prawns, sausages and other smokey salty delights…
