Voyage on Sea Cloud Spirit, Naples to Valetta via Sicily
Aboard the Sea Cloud Spirit
We’ve recently been on a voyage aboard there amazing Sea Cloud Spirit and I am writing about it in tomorrow’s newspapers - namely the Western Morning News and Western Daily Press. After that I’ll be putting up a number of articles on here.
The journey on the Sea Cloud Spirit commenced in Naples. The ship proceeded to Capri, where guests disembarked in what turned out to be the most heavy rainstorm imaginable.
Trapani and its northern beaches
All good fun though and we had plenty of time to dry off because were then sailed to Trapani on the west coast of Sicily - a journey which took 36 hours under full cavas.
The next stop was Sicily’s capital, Palermo - a vibrant town if ever there was one. .

The Sea Cloud Spirit then transited the Messina Strait, continuing to Giardini Naxos and Taormina.
Passing through the Straits of Messina
The stop off at Giardini Naxos was particularly pleasant as we were able to take a small boat ride and swim in the rolling sea.
Taormina
The itinerary included a stop in Syracuse before the ship’s final leg to Valletta, Malta.

Here on the website we will be outlining much much more ab out this fantastic voyage.
